More than 100 pupils from all over Ukraine have recently gathered to present the results of energy efficiency measures, which they carried out in their schools together with their classmates, in order to save energy and enhance energy efficiency within the framework of the “School of Energy” project. Throughout the project, the overall energy consumption reduced to 821.3 MW/h. This corresponds to a reduction of CO2 emissions by 286.1 tones and cost savings amounting to 900,000 UAH. These impressive results were achieved through the joint efforts of pupils and teachers!
The second phase of the project “School of Energy 2.0” is being realized by the “Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine” Association (EECU), supported by “Establishment of Energy Agencies in Ukraine”, implemented by „Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH“on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety. More than 200 pupils from 15 schools from all over Ukraine are involved in the project “School of Energy 2.0” to focus on energy efficiency and climate protection and realize the potential of energy efficiency in their own schools.
